I am thinking of traveling in Chile and Argentina for about 3 months and spending a month or so in Vina or Valparaiso studying Spanish and/or volunteering. I will be living in Valparaiso for 6 months and skimmed your blog today. I was curious to know about the tick bite incident and was wondering if you were bitten in the city or in some place outside of the city. Also, do you have suggestions about places to stay? I'm looking to rent a studio for myself, so far no luck.
I was bitten in Long Island, US not Valpo...don't worry, there's no Lyme disease in Chile as far as anyone can make out. Thanks god...
